Ryka shoes are my new go-to-shoes for indoor type workouts. I wear 7 1 2 for flipflop type shoes, and 8 s for tennis shoes. I bought an 8 and they have enough room for thicker socks. Smaller might not have much room and feel tighter. I bought these because they were suggested for Zumba type classes. I like the classes at the gym and these are great on their dance floors. They move easy, don t feel too bulky, have a little slide to them, and great overall fit of a shoe. My arches of my feet often hurt, but these still are great at supporting without pushing too much. I would not suggest these for intense jumping and heel-slamming classes or workouts because they don t have that much padding like cross training shoes and would not be great for your knees. I bought other Ryka s for that purpose.
